Frank L. Bradshaw, Attorney

Mr. Bradshaw is a Sampson County native being both born in Clinton and a Clinton High School graduate. While in high school, Mr. Bradshaw joined a long list of local attorneys who served as student body president. Throughout high school and during college, Mr. Bradshaw worked for and wrote articles and editorials for The Sampson Independent newspaper.

Mr. Bradshaw received a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He received his Juris Doctor at Campbell University. While at Campbell, Mr. Bradshaw served as a class officer and was inducted in the Order of Old Kivett for his representation of the school in national and international moot court competitions which led him to represent Campbell in the Institute of International Commercial Law at Pace University School of Law’s international arbitration moot court competition in Hong Kong.

Mr. Bradshaw represents the Sampson County Department of Social Services, the Sampson County Child Support Enforcement Agency, as well as Sampson County in tax foreclosures actions. Mr. Bradshaw has been in practice nearly 20 years and has represented clients in jury trials and before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. Mr. Bradshaw was awarded Legal Elite status in family law by the Business North Carolina magazine and the law firm has been recognized as an AV rated law firm by Martindale-Hubbell, which is reserved for the most distinguished law practices. Mr. Bradshaw was an adjunct professor at Campbell University’s School of Law for over five (5) years and has been a speaker at the state-wide Department of Social Services Attorneys annual conference.

Mr. Bradshaw practices primarily in the area of family law including child custody and support, equitable distribution, alimony, domestic violence, premarital agreements, and other family law actions.

Mr. Bradshaw is active in the community having served as the president of the Clinton-Sampson Rotary Club, an officer and board member with the Sampson County History Museum, a board member with the Sampson County Convention and Visitors Bureau, and a member of the Clinton Historical Authority. Mr. Bradshaw is the treasurer of the Sampson County Bar Association, a master mason, and is a past-president of the Fourth Judicial District Bar Association.

Mr. Bradshaw is a proud husband and father of two wonderful children. In his spare time, he enjoys spending time with his children, traveling, boating, and reading.

 

Kristin A. Buckner, Attorney

Ms. Buckner grew up in Johnston County, but is a Clintonian by marriage, having met and fallen in love with her Clinton native husband, Matt, during law school.

Ms. Buckner received a Bachelor’s degree in Communication Studies with a minor in History from University of North Carolina Wilmington, a Master of Business Administration from East Carolina University, and Juris Doctor from North Carolina Central University. Prior to joining Warrick and Bradshaw, Ms. Bucker practiced family law with Triangle Divorce Lawyers, a Raleigh law firm. She has also owned her own law firm in Johnston County and was a hearing officer with the Johnston County Clerk of Court’s office where she presided over various types of hearings including adoptions, foreclosures, incompetency and guardianship proceedings, and estate matters.

Ms. Buckner practices primarily in the area of family law including child custody and support, equitable distribution, alimony, domestic violence, premarital agreements, adoptions, and other family law actions. Ms. Buckner represents the Sampson County Child Support Enforcement Agency and Sampson County Department of Social Services. Ms. Buckner also assists clients with wills, trusts, and powers of attorney.

Ms. Buckner is a former member of the Junior Women’s League of Johnston County where she served in numerous leadership positions and received the Impact Leadership Award in 2017. In her free time, Ms. Buckner enjoys reading, traveling, knitting, and spending time with her family.

 

Benjamin R. Warrick, Attorney/Retired

A native of Johnston County, North Carolina, Mr. Warrick practiced law in Sampson County for over 50 years. Mr. Warrick graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with both a bachelor’s degree and law degree. While in law school he was elected president of his law school class and was a member of the founding committee of the Holderness Moot Court Competition.

Mr. Warrick began practicing law in Clinton in 1967 when he joined attorneys Joseph Chambliss and Clifton Paderick. While working with Chambliss and Paderick, Mr. Warrick worked on criminal cases including at least two murder trials, personal injury cases, bankruptcy, real estate, and other areas of the law. In the 1970s Dale P. Johnson and W. Douglas Parsons joined the practice. With the addition of Johnson and Parsons, the attorneys began to focus on different areas of practice with Mr. Warrick focusing on family law.

Mr. Warrick was one of the initial board members of the Family Law Section of the North Carolina Bar Association. He has represented family law clients before the North Carolina Court of Appeals and the North Carolina Supreme Court. In 2011, Mr. Warrick was inducted into the North Carolina Bar Associations General Practice Hall of Fame and has been listed in the Bar Register of Preeminent Lawyers by Martindale-Hubbell. Mr. Warrick is a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Warrick has also been an active member of the community serving on the Clinton City Board of Education, serving as an actor in excess of fifteen plays with the local community theatre, and has served both as a Baptist deacon and on the administrative board of his Methodist church. Mr. Warrick is a talented musician and has, since the age of 12, either played the piano, organ, or was in the church choir.

Mr. Warrick fully retired from the practice of law in 2022.
